Perimeter Truss Reflector (PTR)

Integrated Solution: Reflector, Boom & Feed

The Perimeter Truss Reflector (PTR) is Tendeg’s integrated deployable antenna solution, combining the reflector, boom, and feed into a lightweight, high-performance architecture. Flight-qualified to TRL-8, the system delivers exceptional scalability, structural stiffness, and RF performance for communications, SAR, and sensing missions across LEO, MEO, and GEO.

Body Mounted Deployment

Key Information

A scalable, TRL-8 deployable antenna delivering precision, stiffness, and reliability for communications, SAR, and sensing missions.

Scalable Reflector Architecture
  • Highly scalable, parabolic perimeter truss reflectors
  • Supports HF to Q/V-bands, reflector sizes of 2 to +20m in diameter
  • Architecture enables high stiffness apertures Boom Mounted Deployment
  • Supports subreflector, can support monopulse or LPDA feeds
  • Can be paired with a deployable offset boom and deployment control electronics
System has reached TRL-8
  • Qualified to GEVS and rideshare environmental loads
  • First Perimeter Truss Reflector flight unit delivered in 2024
  • Flight orders include 3m, 4m and 5m reflectors supporting C, X and Ka bands in LEO and GEO
  • Applications include: Communications, SAR and Sensing Missions, among others

Tendeg has multiple flight programs from L to Ka-band

TRL-8 Env Test Campaign

TRL-8 hardware subjected to qualification-level vibration & thermal testing, and over 30 full de-ployment cycles with no measurable performance degradation.

Surface Scan and RF Performance

Post-vibration RF results show minimal to no directivity and perfomance loss relative to pre-vibe. Above, example RF performance.
